The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has invited Paul Adom-Otchere, the former Board Chairman of Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL), for questioning in connection with an ongoing investigation into alleged corruption.
The probe centers on a revenue assurance audit contract reportedly involving GACL and another private company.
The OSP suspects potential irregularities in the financial arrangements and execution of the deal, particularly regarding how airport revenues were managed or accounted for under the agreement.
In a letter dated July 25, 2025, the OSP officially identified Mr. Adom-Otchere as a suspect in the investigation into alleged corruption and corruption-related offenses related to the contract between GACL and the private firm.
According to the letter, he has been directed to appear before investigators at the OSP’s South Ridge office on Thursday, July 31, 2025.
Mr. Adom-Otchere, a prominent media figure who recently ended his tenure as GACL Board Chairman, confirmed to Myjoyonline.com that he has received the invitation.
He added that his legal team has written to the OSP requesting a rescheduled appearance date of Monday, August 4, due to ongoing court proceedings in Kumasi, the Ashanti Regional capital.
While expressing his willingness to cooperate, Mr. Adom-Otchere voiced surprise at being singled out for questioning. He questioned why, as a former board chair, he is being targeted in a matter that largely stems from decisions made by the company’s management and managing director, who are still available to assist with the investigation.
