Daniel McKorley, widely known as McDan, faces mounting public scrutiny as fans and concerned citizens demand an investigation into his business dealings. This comes after a past warning from businessman and investigative journalist Raymond Archer resurfaced, following Archer’s appointment to the “Operation Recover All Loot” (ORAL) committee under President-elect John Dramani Mahama.
In July 2023, during an interview on Radio Gold, Archer issued a stern caution to McDan, stating, “He has to pray his government stays in power forever.” The comment was in reaction to allegations of government favoritism linked to McDan’s prominence in sectors like aviation, mining, and resource management. Archer claimed these successes were achieved at the expense of others, including himself.
“Now they came for my business. McDan, he has to pray, you know I don’t talk too much, but he has to pray that his government stays in power forever,” Archer said, referencing the controversial demolition of his multi-million-dollar printing business during the redevelopment of the Ghana Trade Fair Center in 2020.
With Archer now playing a key role in the ORAL committee, which is tasked with recovering state assets and ensuring accountability, McDan’s critics have renewed calls for transparency in his business dealings. The resurfaced warning has intensified public debate, with many questioning the impact of political affiliations on business opportunities in Ghana.
