The Office of President-elect John Dramani Mahama has dismissed circulating reports suggesting that he has made ministerial appointments ahead of his swearing-in.
In a press release issued on Monday, December 16, Joyce Bawah Mogtari, Special Aide to Mr. Mahama, categorically denied the claims, stating that the reports making rounds on social media are false and misleading.
“President-elect Mahama has not made any ministerial appointments,” the statement clarified, urging the public to disregard the rumors.
This clarification follows the widespread circulation of a purported list of ministerial nominees on various social media platforms. According to the office, the list is entirely fabricated and holds no truth.
Ms. Bawah Mogtari emphasized that any official announcements regarding appointments will be communicated exclusively through verified and official channels. She cautioned the public against sharing or believing unverified information.
“We encourage everyone to dismiss these unfounded claims and refrain from spreading fake news,” the statement urged.
The Office of the President-elect reassured Ghanaians of its commitment to transparency and professionalism as the country transitions into the new administration.
